Zyena (pronounced like hyena with a Z) is originally from South Lake Tahoe, California, where she first started dancing at five-years-old. Though growing up in a small town presented challenges when it came to training, Zyena never let this keep her from pursuing her passion, and her teachers always encouraged her to attend external programs such as the California State Summer School for the Arts and the Commercial Dance Intensive, where she went on to work study in 2021. Since then, Zyena has graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Utah with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in musical theatre and a minor in Modern Dance. She has also assisted her professor and mentor, Eric Sciotto, at Broadway Dreams, where she was then asked to assist the program as a whole. Zyena recently made the move to New York, where she just finished out a wonderful summer of dancing with the Verdon Fosse Legacy. Looking forward, Zyena hopes to find her legs in the city and kickstart her own reel-editing business to help her fellow artists.
